L'iniziativa si inserisce in una settimana densa di eventi per la promozione di prodotti e piatti tipici. All'Istituto di Cultura Italiana di South Yarra (Melbourne) si terrà la degustazione di slow food pugliese, includendo l'esibizione del gruppo folk mottolese Terraross. Gli altri appuntamenti saranno lo spettacolo di cucina e gastronomia pugliese sabato 29 maggio, e il concerto di domenica 30 in Piazza Italia, a Melbourne, nel contesto più ampio dell'Italian Festival di Melbourne.

Pugliese Cuisine in Australia Presented by the Italian Institute of Culture, Melbourne, the Federazione Pugliese d’Australia, the Regione Puglia, and the Melbourne Italian Festival.

This unique project aims to promote knowledge and appreciation of Pugliese cuisine in Victoria. It will involve a delegation of four chefs and several students from the Istituto Professionale di Stato “Mauro Perrone” in Castellaneta. The students will carry out internships in a number of partner restaurants including Tutto Bene, Café Latte, Ecco da Nicolini, Enoteca Sileno, Brunetti Caffe, Arrivederci, La Notte, Olympic Hotel and Casavini.

The initiative will be launched by a busy week of events promoting characteristic products and dishes. At the Italian Institute of Culture a slow food cocktail will take place. It will include a performance by the visiting Pugliese dance group TerraRoss. Other events include a gala cooking show on Pugliese cuisine and gastronomy on Saturday 29 May and a concert at Piazza Italia on Sunday 30 May in the context of the Melbourne Italian Festival.
